Stowe Mountain Lodge Offers Petite Weddings

Value, Personalization and Originality in Demand

Stowe, VT  Smaller, more personalized weddings are gaining the attention of engaged couples, according to an inaugural survey of nearly 30 Destination Hotel & Resort’s wedding specialists.

Stowe Mountain Lodge, named “#5, Top Resort in the United States” by Condé Nast Traveler Magazine offers Petite Weddings, ideal for the couple who desires a personalized, unique experience. Weddings for up to 40 guests are perfect for short-term, spur-of-the-moment or longer term, more experiential experiences.

Comprehensive packages are available, or couples can partner with Stowe Mountain Lodge’s Personal Wedding Specialist to create a unique wedding that truly reflects the couple’s desires and taste. Creative collaboration is essential, and no detail is ever overlooked.  As stated by the Lodge’s Catering Sales Manager, Gabi Lungu, “There is no longer such a thing as a traditional wedding. It’s now all about what the couple wants,”  Lungu says. “More experiential weddings for smaller groups are perfect at Stowe Mountain Lodge, with endless options for recreation, spa, golf and skiing for an entire group.”

Executive Chef, Josh Berry’s outstanding farm-to-table cuisine and signature cocktails are a popular feature and menus can be created according to the couples’ affinity, such as recreating a special dish that is resonant of their courtship and relationship.   Stowe Mountain Lodge partners with Vermont farmers, cheese makers, micro-breweries, and other talented artisans, as well as small-farm advocacy groups such as the Vermont Fresh Network and Chefs Collaborative to create a unique dining experience for each and every wedding, particularly with petite wedding packages.

Wedding ceremony and reception location options include the Ballroom Terrace, with open-air views of Vermont’s highest peak, Mount Mansfield; the Lodge’s Junior Ballroom with lighting and rustic-yet-modern décor of the Vermont tradition, and a variety of other indoor and outdoor settings at the resort. Stowe Mountain Lodge’s Personal Wedding Specialists can also arrange weddings for up to 30 guests at the non-denominational Mountain Chapel, located trail-side on Stowe Mountain Resort.

Arrangements for Petite Weddings can be made by calling Gabi Lungu: 802.760.4776.

No blood test or waiting period is necessary to marry in Vermont.  Same-sex couples are also allowed to legally wed, as of September 1, 2009.
