We value the contributions of each and every employee and to show our appreciation we offer the following recreational privileges:
2012-2013 WINTER PRIVILEGES
COMPLIMENTARY SKIING & SNOWBOARDING: We want our employees to ski or ride our mountain! Full-Time employees receive a Season Pass for themselves, their spouse and dependent children. Seasonal Part-Time employees working a minimum of 16 hours per week will receive a Season Pass for themselves. Employees that return season after season earn increased skiing and snowboarding privileges.
COMPLIMENTARY SKI and SNOWBOARD LESSONS: Group ski/riding lessons are complimentary to all employees and their immediate family members (spouses and their children). We encourage all employees to learn to ski or snowboard or to increase their abilities.
COMPLIMENTARY SKI and SNOWBOARD RENTALS: All employees receive complimentary ski and snowboard rentals on an as available basis with a deposit of driver’s license or credit card.
CHILDREN’S SKI PROGRAM DISCOUNTS: The Adventure Center offers discounts on its full-day programs:
3 year old Children of Employees - the full day price for 3-Ski is $35.
4-14 year-old Children of Employees - the full day price for the Adventure Programs is $25.
DAYCARE DISCOUNTS: Daycare is provided to employees on a space available basis at a discounted rate. Full day prices are $35 and reservations are required. Half day prices are $20. No reservations will be taken for half day, walk-ins only.
FOOD & BEVERAGE DISCOUNTS: All employees receive a 50% discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages in designated cafeterias, 30% discount in resort restaurants.
RETAIL DISCOUNTS: All employees receive a 30% discount in all Stowe Mountain Resort Sport and Gift Shops. This also includes Stowe Mountain Lodge's boutiques;; Atmosphere and Polo Ralph Lauren. The Spa at the Lodge offers a 50% discount on retail products only. There are no discounts for Spa services.

2012 SUMMER/FALL PRIVILEGES
RIDE THE ALPINE SLIDE: Staff members and their dependents* are invited to use the Alpine Slide. Present your SMR Summer ID at the Spruce Welcome Center and receive a free pass! Your immediate family (spouse and children) may also ride when they sign in at the ticket desk.
CLIMBING WALL: Experience the challenge of mountain climbing on SMR’s climbing wall! Great for kids and adults.
TRY THE BUNGEE TRAMPOLINE: Strap into the bungee harness and catch the biggest air of your life between bounces.
INFLATABLE OBSTACLE COURSE: Put yourself to the test on our newest summer attraction - the inflatable obstacle course! See how fast you can run through this pumped-up vinyl proving ground on your own, or go head-to-head with your friends for fastest time bragging rights.
GONDOLA SKY RIDE: Staff members and their dependents* may ride the gondola and enjoy the scenic ride to the summit. Present your Summer ID at the ticket counter.
DRIVE THE TOLL ROAD: Staff members and their family* are invited to take a ride up the scenic Toll Road and enjoy the sights. Present your Summer ID to the attendant at the road entrance.
STOWE COUNTRY CLUB: Full-time employees (defined as 32 hours per week for this benefit) and their spouse may use the golf course on a complimentary basis. Part-time employees (minimum of 16 hours/week) will be credited with one round for each shift they work. This credit may be used the the employee or the spouse only.Guests have priority, so use is limited to mid-week, non-holiday on a space available basis. You must call the Pro Shop on the day of play for approval due to limited times of play during the day. Staff cannot reserve tee times, but can call ahead to check the likelihood of availability. Staff and spouse must present Summer IDs at the Pro Shop prior to tee off or risk losing golf privileges. Observance of all golf club rules and dress code is expected. A special cart rate of $10.00 per person is extended to eligible staff.SMR employees can join the Stowe Golf Association (SGA) for $200. This allows you to participate in all Member activities such as the Monthly Socials, Member Guest, Club Championship, etc.
STAFF GOLF CLINICS are held Thursday evenings from 5:00-6:00. There is no charge for the clinic, but it is customary to tip the instructors. A minimum of five people are required to run a clinic. Please call the Pro Shop at 253-4893 in advance to reserve a spot.
HIT THE TENNIS COURTS: Staff members and their spouse are invited to use the SMR tennis courts on a space available basis. Call the Front Desk (x3656) to check on court availability on the day of play. Proper court dress and tennis etiquette is expected on the courts at all times.
RETAIL DISCOUNTS: Use your Summer ID and receive a 30% discount at all of SMR’s retail outlets, including the Stowe Country Club Pro Shop! This discount does not apply to sale items, and may not be used in conjunction with a
ny other discount.
FOOD & BEVERAGE DISCOUNTS: We encourage our staff members to enjoy the culinary skills of our Food & Beverage department. We offer staff members a 30% discount on staff food and non-alcoholic drinks (family excluded).
SUMMER CAMP ADVENTURE PROGRAM DISCOUNTS: The Adventure Program offers significant discounts on all of its programs to children of staff on a space available basis. Camp runs from June 21 through September 4, 2010. For more information contact the Adventure Program (x3685).
* PLEASE NOTE: Be sure to complete a family dependent form at Human Resources and pick up Summer ID’s for you and your family. *Your spouse and dependent children (as defined by the IRS) are considered to be your dependents. Summer ID’s must be presented to participate in any summer activities.
