Snowboarding Lessons
For over a decade, the Stowe Snowboard School has delivered some of the most progressive lessons in the snowboarding industry. As the home mountain and corporate partner of Burton Snowboards, it's only logical that Stowe was one of the first resorts to help develop and host the Learn to Ride (LTR) program.
This season will be the sixth consecutive year of having a Burton Learn to Ride center adjacent to our snowboard school. The Learn to Ride Center is a snowboard rental shop where the world's best learn-to-snowboard equipment is available to our guests.
The equipment is designed to accelerate the learning curve so students can learn to link turns in the very first day. Stowe's snowboard teaching professionals take pride in facilitating a successful learning experience that's fun. The Stowe Snowboard School and Burton Learn to Ride Center are located at Spruce Peak. Inquire about lessons and equipment at the welcome desk and leave the rest to us.
It will be no worries for new riders. Even when you're riding the best equipment possible, if you're not learning on the appropriate terrain you might be setting yourself up for a fall. The teaching area at Stowe, which is located at the base of Spruce Peak, provides exactly what the beginner needs to build confidence and skills. A gentle pitch and carpet lift in the starting area, followed in progression by a ride up our brand new triple lift combine for the ideal learning area.
The most important ingredient in the learning to ride recipe at Stowe is the personalized attention the Stowe instructors give to their students. Understanding that people learn differently and being attentive to their individual needs is key to communicating new information to the first time rider. Making the learning experience unique to each individual is how Stowe's snowboarding professionals distinguish themselves as leaders in the industry.
