Shackleton Thomas
The unique workshops of Charles Shackleton Furniture and Miranda
Thomas Pottery, located in a 100 year old woolen mill in Bridgewater,
Vermont, consist of a dedicated group of craftspeople who take great
pride in accomplishment and are committed to one common goal: to produce
handmade furniture, pottery and accessories of the highest quality.
Each piece of furniture and pottery has been designed and made to
reflect the philosophy that extensive handwork creates a product which
"has soul and life." Many elements of Shackleton Thomas' designs
reference patterns in nature, from the gentle hand-carved curl of an
armchair to the spiral forms on sleigh beds and chairs, to the tree of
life and animal figures that are represented on their pottery.
Shackleton Thomas has a retail shop at Stowe Mountain Lodge. For more
