News & Events

Stowe's forecast calls for a mix of sun & clouds today and then more sunny weather--great spring skiing & riding at Stowe. We groomed 42 trails overnight, including steep favorite Liftline, plus all 5 terrain parks & the half-pipe; there probably will be some delayed openings on steeper, ungroomed trails until sunshine & rising temperatures soften the snow. Today's Share the Slope" message: Observe posted signs & warnings and keep off closed trails. A variey of events coming up on the mountain & in town: Saturday, the 2nd annual Vintage Ski & Style contest--break out the straight skis, stretch pants & neon! Sunday, the UVM snowboard team's "Box Social" event--costumes are mandatory! Also Sunday, Cleveland International Piano competition winner Alexander Ghindin in concert at the Stowe HS auditorium. Today through Sunday are also Ski Club & Ski Council Appreciation Days, with savings on lift tickets & lodging; check stowegroups.com for details.

Caution

You may find unmarked obstacles such as rocks, ledges, stumps, trees, bare spots and variations in terrain. Do not proceed unless you accept responsibility for your safety and equipment, and are willing to confront all conditions and risks of a mountain environment. Lifts and trails exist in a mountain environment, and may close due to weather, usage and/or special maintenance.
