You never forget your first trip to Stowe

Something for All Ability Levels

Beginner

As you arrive at the resort, the first slopes you see are some of our oldest and great for quiet beginner experiences. If you need more amenities though, continue on to park and take the Over Easy Transfer Gondola to family-friendly Spruce Peak with wide trails perfect for first-timers. The five Adventure Zones - on both Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak - are fun opportunities to experience the woods in mellow gladed terrain.

Intermediate

NEW for the 22-23 season: Come experience Sunrise, our new 6-person chairlift conveniently located next to the Mansfield parking area. Servicing low-angle runs on Mount Mansfield, Sunrise is perfect for those ready to move beyond beginner terrain. Love to cruise? Sunrise and Lord off of the FourRunner Quad and the Gondola trails are long and beautiful blue groomers. Don't dismiss Spruce Peak for local favorite Sterling at the edge of the ski boundary.

Advanced/Expert

Mansfield rightly attracts the most experienced skiers, especially for first chair early in the morning. Start with Hayride and Nosedive single black diamonds, and, if you are skilled enough, test yourself on Stowe's famous Front Four (Starr, Liftline, National, and Goat). Trails with limited to no grooming like Chin Clip off the Gondola and Whirlaway across on Spruce are a definite adventure. If that wasn't enough, gladed terrain abounds across both mountains.
