12:00PM Update: The Sensation Quad is on hold due to ice.

Wet heavy snow & sleet fell last evening before changing to freezing rain briefly during the early morning hours, measurable accumulation of an inch fell at our High Road snowplot at 3000'. We enjoyed a few hours of precipitation free skiing and riding before varying intensities of rain began to fall around 10:00AM. Snow surfaces are soft and carve-able while visibility is poor, be sure bring a proper goggle wiping implement as you will need it to enjoy these incredible carving conditions.

Today’s forecast calls for occasional rain which may be heavy at times. High temperatures will range from the upper 30s in the base area, to the mid-30s at the summit. Winds are out of the southwest at 25-40mph at the summit and winds of those speeds & direction usually do not affect our lift operations. Looking ahead, a cold front will change precipitation back over to snow showers tonight, and we may see measurable accumulation by tomorrow morning. It's time to bust out your best snow dance moves Stowe family!

Last night our world-class grooming threw down corduroy stripes on 48 trails, including the iconic Nosedive. All of our 4 distinct terrain parks on Mount Mansfield also saw a fresh groom overnight and those parks have over 50 freestyle features. Make sure to check out the recently opened Standard Terrain Park, which includes 18 features curated by our talented Stowe Parks team.

Snowmaking operations are currently on hold, we will resume with the arrival of colder air. When we do fire up the system our focus will be to make snow on Sunrise, Standard, Crossover and Perry Merrill.

Please Note-- The Tyro Terrain Park will be reserved starting at 12:00PM today for a Vermont High School Snowboard Series slopestyle event.
